CICLO TIERRA / TIERRA CYCLE
2022
Museo Universitario del Chopo UNAM
Mexico City
The TIERRA cycle generated a series of actions that promoted dialog from a plurality of voices. The purpose was to reflect upon the solid links that exist between the Earth, the body, memory, identity and the environment. This encounter was comprised of specialists, creators and investigators who observe other forms of existence, community tissues, eco-activisms and ancestral organization.
The ultimate objective became to learn diverse forms of decolonial experiences, thoughts, space-bodies (as a first territory for collective resistance), together, in a relevant way to rediscover and feel different transformative possibilities that connect us. It was a multidisciplinary project which was made up of art installation, a set of dialog and reflection conversations, and the projection of the short film TIERRA by Fana Adjani, with music by Simón Mejía (Bomba Estéreo), and starring muxé performer and anthropologist Lukas Avendaño and singer/artist Liliana Saumet (Bomba Estéreo).
The cycle took place 13, 14, 15 of October of 2022 at Museo Universitario del Chopo and Fana Adjani served as General Director for the cycle. Please refer to the original site in the link below for a detailed outline of all the activities.
